About this product

Amebazole treats all acute intestinal amoeba diseases, as well as all liver amoeba diseases. Each tablet of the drug contains the active substance secnidazole, which works to stop some vital functions within the amoeba, and this results in the death of the amoeba in a final way.

Dosage and method of use:

It is preferable to take the dose during meals.
Acute intestinal amebiasis, medication for a period of one day only.
Adults: 2 tablets of 2 gm as a single dose.
Children 30 mg/kg/day as a single dose or divided doses throughout the day.
Hepatic amoeba treatment for 5 days.
Adults: 1.5 gm as a single daily dose.
Children: 30 mg/kg/day as a single dose or divided doses throughout the day.
Urogenital infections due to Trichomonas infection, only one dose and two tablets of 2 gm as a single dose.

Indications :

Acute intestinal amoebiasis.
Liver amoeba cases.
Inflammatory cases of the genitourinary system due to Trichomonas infection.
amoebic liver abscesses.
Intestinal amoebic dysentery.
Giardiasis in females and males.
Giardia lamblia parasite.
Urogenital infection caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.
