- Glucovance is a fixed-dose combination therapy containing two anti-hyperglycemic agents, metformin hydrochloride and glibenclamide.
- It is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, as an alternative to the previous combination therapy with metformin and glibenclamide in patients whose blood sugar is stable and well controlled.
Dosage and method of use:

Elderly dose:
- Dosage in the elderly is based on kidney function.
- The usual starting dose for elderly patients may be one Glucovance 250 mg/1.25 mg tablet daily.
- Generally avoid reaching the maximum dose.
