- Zyrtec is used in the treatment of allergies. It is an antihistamine medication that stops the natural secretion of histamine in the body and reduces allergy symptoms such as increased watery eyes, cold and runny nose.
Dosage and method of use:
- You can take Zyrtec with or without food.
- It may be easier for children to take Zyrtec syrup than it is for tablets.
- If you do not have a graduated syringe or spoon to adjust the dose for a child, ask your pharmacist for one, and do not use a kitchen spoon because it will not give the right amount.
